Scott State Lake Fishing Report -
Species Rating Size Baits, Method & Location
Crappie Fair Up to 15 inches Fish will move into wind-protected areas possessing hard bottom types to spawn.  Cool weather this past week slowed any advancement in spawning activity, thus anglers reported a tough bite.  Fish should move shallow with the onset of warmer, more stable weather.  Fishing jigs under a bobber is a productive presentation to catch spawning fish.
Largemouth Bass Fair/Good Up to 5.5 lbs. Casting soft plastics, swimbaits and spinner baits around laydown trees and overhanging brush along the shorelines is best.
Sunfish Fair/Good Up to 8 inches Nightcrawler pieces vertically fished on a jig head or fished under a bobber around deeper brush.
Saugeye Good Up to 7 lbs. Casting shad-imitating swimbaits along deeper, rip rapped shorelines or over areas possessing rapid depth changes to the bottom.  Anglers reported catching some nice fish up to 7 or 8 lbs. last week.
