Montgomery State Fishing Lake
The area is primarily managed for fishing. Fish species present are largemouth bass, white crappie, bluegill, redear sunfish and channel catfish. Brush piles have been placed along the shorelines to improve angling success. Also rock piers and floating docks give anglers access to deeper water and additional structure. Harvest regulations have become important to sustain good fishing in public waters, due to increasing use and harvest of certain species. Therefore, special creel and length limits may be in effect for some fish species. Check the Fishing Location Page and all posted notices. Hunting is not allowed on the area; however there are abundant opportunities to view and study wildlife. Facilities for the area include gravel access roads, three boat ramps, two floating fishing docks, one boating courtesy dock, seven rock fishing piers, and two vault toilets. There are several angler campsites. There are not any electric, water, or sewage hookups, showers, or drinkable water.
