KDWP INTERNET DOWN DEC. 5 FOR MAINTENANCE
Online license and permits sales will be available; KDWP website will not
PRATT — Kansas hunters, anglers, and park users should be aware that the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) website will be shut down on Saturday, Dec. 5, as the Division of Information Systems and Communications (DISC) performs maintenance on all government computer systems statewide. Deer hunters in particular could be affected because the Kansas firearm deer season runs Dec. 2-13.
Computer users who need to buy licenses or permits on Dec. 5 will still be able to make purchases online at https://www.ks.wildlifelicense.com/start.php. (Don't forget the "s" after "http.") This website is for license and permit sales only; information on the KDWP website, www.kdwp.state.ks.us, will not be available on Dec. 5.
These items, as well as hunting, fishing, and park regulation information will still be available at license vendors throughout the state. All KDWP offices will be closed on that date, so it's important that outdoor users have regulation brochures and other items they need, such as hunting and fishing guides, before Dec. 5.
