Two meetings allow public input on wind generators in the park
JUNCTION CITY — The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) will conduct two public meetings regarding potential installation of two wind turbines within Milford State Park. The meetings are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 6. The first meeting will begin at 2 p.m., and the second will begin at 7 p.m., both at the Milford Lake Corps of Engineers Office, 4020 West K-57 in Junction City.
Representatives with KDWP and Ameresco will be present to outline the proposal, which is part of a department-wide energy saving plan. Time will be allotted for public questions and comments.
