State Offices Closed Friday, November 10
PRATT – Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism (KDWPT) officials remind hunters that all state offices, which are normally open Mon.-Fri., will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, 2017 in observance of Veterans Day. However, just about everything a hunter needs for the opening weekend of pheasant and quail seasons can be found online at www.ksoutdoors.com.
On the KDWPT website hunters can purchase licenses and download digital versions of the 2017 Kansas Hunting and Furharvesting Regulations Summary, the 2017 Kansas Hunting Atlas, and the 2017 Upland Bird Forecast. Those who would rather buy in person can find more than 600 locations where licenses are sold by clicking on “Licenses & Permits” on the top menu, then clicking on “Where To Buy.”
Printed copies of the regulations summary and atlas are available wherever licenses are sold.
Kansas state park offices, which usually have weekend hours, will be closed Friday, Nov. 10, 2017-Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017. Normal business hours will resume on Monday, Nov. 13, 2017. Daily vehicle entrance and camping permits are available at self-serve kiosks. Information about all state parks can be found at www.ksoutdoors.com and reservations can be made online at reserveamerica.com
