Kansas Fish Habitat Program
The Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks Fisheries Division is pleased to announce the newly formed Kansas Fish Habitat Program. The Division has been improving and creating aquatic habitat for fish and all aquatic organisms for many years. As many of the state’s lakes and reservoirs age, the quantity and the quality of available habitat decreases. Habitat work in these aging waters is more important now than ever before.
The Kansas Fish Habitat Program is dedicated to expanding habitat improvement efforts in Kansas waters by increasing awareness of planned projects, locating interested volunteer groups and other partners, increasing dedicated funding for habitat projects, and continued construction and enhancement of aquatic habitat for the benefit of anglers and all Kansans.
