From May 25th through August 11th the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks will be partnering with the Kansas Department of Commerce to offer Kansas students (K - 12) with free outdoor recreational opportunities through the Sunflower Summer Program. Kansas students and their families can enter each Kansas State Park one time with a free vehicle permit provided by this program (vehicle permits must be picked up at Park Office or Gate House same day as visit). Kansas State Parks offer several special events throughout the Summer which are open to Sunflower Summer participants. Check out the Kansas State Parks calendar to see all our events. Our calendar can be accessed by clicking on "Kansas Outdoor Events" under the Events Tab. See Gate House or Park Office to receive your daily vehicle permit when participating in these events.
