Fort Scott Community College Lakes Fishing Information
Fort Scott, KS
South Horton Street
Fort Scott Community College 620-223-2700
Don George, Fisheries Management Biologist
These two lakes are enrolled into the Community Fisheries Assistance Program. A city fishing permit is no longer required. Both lakes are annually stocked with quality size channel catfish. These channel catfish are raised in the city rearing pond. A fish feeder is operated in the east pond to enhance the fishery and improve angling. Crappie, bluegill and largemouth bass all can provide great angling opportunities. Shoreline access and parking is very good.
